Brouwer LLC M1823 Grip Module - Aluminum

The Ultimate P320 Upgrade

The Brouwer M1823 Grip Module corrects the main ergonomic issues with the P320 platform – high bore axis, rounded slippery grip, short beavertail. The modern 2011 pistol is the standard for shooting performance, control, and ergonomics. With the design of the SIG P320 series, we were able to bring some of that performance and control to polymer pistols.

Brouwer Grip Module Summary Of Improvements

Improved Handling:

The Brouwer P320 Grip Module greatly improves point of aim repeatability by utilizing ergonomics nearly identical to the 2011. The front strap angle has been changed to 107.5 degrees, with a back strap angle of 67.5 degrees to cause the pistol to seat into the hand when gripped. This geometry aids the shooter by placing the bore axis in a natural position.

The beaver tail has been moved up to reduce the height over bore while still maintaining the full functionality of the SIG P320 fire control group. The beaver tail has been profiled to draw the hand into the gun while providing a large surface to aid in reducing the effort to mitigate recoil. The rear profile of the beaver tail has been shaped to reduce catching the web of the user’s hand when gripping the gun promoting quick grip acquisition.

A large trigger guard was kept to ensure use with gloves in cold weather and reprofiled to remove unnecessary features. The profile of the trigger guard was moved up as high as possible to improve grip index relative to the beavertail while maintaining clearance for the P320 trigger. The tolerancing for the mag release button has been reduced to combat dust ingress.

Factory Compatibility

The grip module is designed to use all factory equipment that comes with a SIG P320: Fire control unit, magazine catch (reversible), slide stop, take down pin. The module accepts factory SIG P320 magazines (9mm) 17rd, and 21rd. The module is compatible with both Safety Selector equipped P320 and without. Be sure to order the correct version!

Holster Compatibility

The M1811 grip module has been provided to the following manufacturers. They have tested the M1811 with their products and provided their feedback and assessment of compatibility.

Safariland:
Fully compatible.

Haley Strategic:
Incog X fully compatible.

AlienGEAR:
Rapid Force, Photon both light bearing and non are fully compatible. The cloak series will vary depending on the configuration.

RDR Gear:
All IWB are fully compatible.

Grip Texture

Simulated side scales similar to the 1911 are present to stiffen the grip and fill the natural void in the palm of the hand without increasing the front and back strap radii.

Both the front and back straps feature meticulously machined, aggressive grip patterns, ensuring a rock-solid, reliable grip even in the harshest shooting environments.

Improved Magwell Design

The grip modules magwell has been profiled to ensure a loaded magazine can be inserted at up to 45 degrees out of rotation, and 20 degrees out of axial alignment with the magwell.

 Heat Treated Chromoly 4130

The finished M1823 modules will be fully CNC milled from Billet 4130 Chromoly and coated with Armor Lube’s proprietary DLC!

They will feature all the same geometry as our existing M1811 grip modules with some additional features.

Magwell Extension

The grip module is capable of accepting an additional flared magwell extension should the user desire.

Accessory Rail

A MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail is maintained under the slide in front of the trigger guard. Note, installation of a light, or under barrel attachment adjusted for a P320 may require a universal mount adapter as the trigger guard has been improved.

Note: please use the “U” adapter plate for surefire products.

Accessory Compatibility

  • The M1823 grip module is designed to fit flush with full size slides 4.7 inch or longer. It is also fully compatible with shorter slides with compensators.

  • The module is compatible with 17 and 21 round magazines. They must have the newer square peg base pads which feature beveled sides. The older round peg base pads will not work.

Colors:

M1823 is available in Black ArmorLube DLC. Milspec approved.

ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING

ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING. That about sums it up, I put a couple hundred rounds through it and it feels amazing even with a bad grip on the gun from a fumbled draw I can still control the gun.

The M1843 steel Grip is undoubtedly the best... BUT...

The M1843 steel Grip is undoubtedly the best grip ever made for the p320 and for that matter any other grip i’ve owned. I’d give it 10 stars. Some people may say the grip texture is too aggressive but I think it’s the most amazing feel, it sticks to my hand like glue. Combined with my Grayguns Lockwood slide, GG trigger and I think I have the best striker fired competition gun I could make. Such a natural fit, perfect grip angle, balanced feel and its extremely flat shooting. Gives me the control to keep extremely tight groups at the range.
Why did I only give them 4 stars…Read on….
I ordered my M1823 Steel with magwell and offset mag release back in May 2025. Paid over $930 up front. After a couple of weeks I expected to get a notice that it shipped. After a month I reached out but Emails went unanswered, and the only way to get a status was by tracking down a phone number, where I was told they’d “call the shop that makes them” to see when I might get mine. Never got a call back or email so I guess they forgot to make the call.
To be fair: Brouwer’s website does say the M1823 is “backordered.” But here’s the problem, that’s all it says. There’s no disclosure about how long the wait really is. Customers only find out as they wonder why it hasn’t shown up yet, and begin to find a way to get answers. It took a little over 4 months for mine to show up and some have posted up to 6 months. That’s a huge difference between a vague “backorder” note and an honest lead-time estimate.
The result is the same:
* Long, unpredictable wait times.
* No clear communication on timelines.
* Customers effectively giving Brouwer an interest-free loan with no guarantee when (or if I wondered) they’ll get their product.

I was planning a 1 star review because I was so P.O.ed about the long wait, but the product so good that I only took off1 star. Brouwer’s website only has 5 star reviews on the M1843 steel Grip, so when I submit this I’ll find out if it is a real rating or if they only post 5 star reviews.

Excellent ergonomics

Excellent ergonomics, feels like and points like a double stack 2011. I found the grip texture literally bites in your hand. I find it perfect. However, some may find it too aggressive as it tend to grab to clothing rather than sliding off it.

M1823 Grip Module

After giving it much thought I decided to purchase this grip module. I love the grip angle and the weight it adds to my P320. At this point I'm so happy that I purchased this grip module.

The quality of this steel grip module is second to none

The quality of this steel grip module is second to none. The stippling on the grip is absolutely the best I've ever felt, especially for a competition stand point. This is the best grip module on the market for the P320. I will be ordering another steel and aluminum version for my duty carry.
