The Ultimate P320 Upgrade

The Brouwer M1811 Grip Module corrects the main ergonomic issues with the P320 platform – high bore axis, rounded slippery grip, short beavertail. The modern 2011 pistol is the standard for shooting performance, control, and ergonomics.

With the design of the SIG P320 series, we were able to bring some of that performance and control to polymer pistols.

Brouwer Grip Module Summary Of Improvements

Improved Handling:

The Brouwer P320 Grip Module greatly improves point of aim repeatability by utilizing ergonomics nearly identical to the 2011. The front strap angle has been changed to 107.5 degrees, with a back strap angle of 67.5 degrees to cause the pistol to seat into the hand when gripped. This geometry aids the shooter by placing the bore axis in a natural position.

The beaver tail has been moved up to reduce the height over bore while still maintaining the full functionality of the SIG P320 fire control group. The beaver tail has been profiled to draw the hand into the gun while providing a large surface to aid in reducing the effort to mitigate recoil. The rear profile of the beaver tail has been shaped to reduce catching the web of the user’s hand when gripping the gun promoting quick grip acquisition.

A large trigger guard was kept to ensure use with gloves in cold weather and reprofiled to remove unnecessary features. The profile of the trigger guard was moved up as high as possible to improve grip index relative to the beavertail while maintaining clearance for the P320 trigger. The tolerancing for the mag release button has been reduced to combat dust ingress.

Factory Compatibility

The grip module is designed to use all factory equipment that comes with a SIG P320: Fire control unit, magazine catch (reversible), slide stop, take down pin. The module accepts factory SIG P320 magazines (9mm) 17rd, and 21rd. The module is compatible with both Safety Selector equipped P320 and without. In order to work with Selector-equipped models, a small cut must be made. An interior outline has been molded into the part to assist with making the cut. We recommend a small rotary tool, such as a Dremel with a 1/8” burr bit. If this modification is not something you would like to perform, we offer it as an additional service which you can select on the store page before adding to cart.

Grip Texture

Simulated side scales similar to the 1911 are present to stiffen the grip and fill the natural void in the palm of the hand without increasing the front and back strap radii. The front and back strap have been checkered with 25 lines per inch to improve grip without damaging clothing.

Improved Magwell Design

The grip modules magwell has been profiled to ensure a loaded magazine can be inserted at up to 45 degrees out of rotation, and 20 degrees out of axial alignment with the magwell.

Proprietary Polymer Blend

The M1811 grip module is molded with a proprietary blend of polymer. A significant increase in fiber and a premium resin composite provide increased rigidity.

Magwell Extension

The grip module is capable of accepting an additional flared magwell extension should the user desire.

Accessory Rail

A MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail is maintained under the slide in front of the trigger guard. Note, installation of a light, or under barrel attachment adjusted for a P320 may require a universal mount adapter as the trigger guard has been improved.

Note: please use the “U” adapter plate for surefire products.

Accessory Compatibility

  • The M1811 grip module is designed to fit flush with a 3.9” barrel slide. It is also fully compatible with full length slides, and shorter.
  • The module is compatible with 17 and 21 round magazines. They must have the newer square peg base pads which feature beveled sides. The older round peg base pads will not work.

Colors:

M1811 is available in Black and Coyote.

P250 sub compact in 40S&W with updated slide catch & armory craft trigger

3.5-4 / 5 stars
I switched from the wilson combat xcompact to this 3.6inch grip module for my sig p250 in 40S&W, yes you that heard right. M1811 is much closer to feeling like a gov't model 1911 than the wilson combat xcompact for the p320/p250. Front and rear sights line up straight without any adjustment in my hands. Grip while shooting with or without gloves is excellent. ( I wear XL or 2XL gloves )

I was able to fit the sig p250 sub compact on this grip module. Yes, I did have to get the updated p320 slide catch and also the armory craft skeleton trigger for the p250 in order for the hammer to drop. The original trigger was blocked by the frame, which is interesting but understandable since this grip module was designed for the p320 ( striker fire evolution of the p250 ).

The frame can flex alittle if you squeeze it like your going break it ( common amongst most non metal modules ).
Holsters I can't give an opinion on because I only have one holster for the p250, which is actually meant for the p320 xcompact. The wilson combat and m1811 3.6 inch grip module both did fit in my Xecutive holster by N8 Tactical.

My main two dislikes is is the magazine release button and price. It may just be me or just the magazine release button im using and not the module its self, but its not as easy to insert or drop a fully loaded magazine in the gun as the wilson combat. I'm using the updated SIG 14rd 40S&W full size magazine. Definitely need to deliberately insert the magazine in and press the magazine button to drop magazine. I Recommend anyone to buy the extended magazine release with your purchase.
2nd dislike is the price. Buying $100-110 pre tax (Ohio) is alittle more than I like. Personally, if it $80-90 seem would have purchased this a year ago and not of wasted the money the wilson combat.

3.5-4 / 5 Rating
I do recommend this grip module.
If I had no budget and didn't need the 3.6inch frame I would've definitely without a doubt went with the metal frame.

My first thought was “that’s a cool looking grip

My first thought was “that’s a cool looking grip, that’d really make my pistol look better” so I glanced at reviews and decided to pull the trigger on it. The second I opened the package and felt the empty grip module in my hands I knew I made a good choice. This thing fits my hand so perfect

Comfortable and easy

Grip module is great, trigger sits perfectly, allowing pistol-mounted lights and their switches to reach far enough back. Also love that it is compatible with CA M18s.
