although I did need to do some miner modification to my holster to accommodate the thumb lever, it does exactly what was described in your description

Solid thumb rest and take down lever. Won't fit into any holster without modification but easily fits into my range bag no problem. Thumb placement is farther back than I'm used to, but it's a simple and minor adjustment.
